There’s nothing quite like a winter break on Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast
Enjoy great offers this November
If you’re not from Portrush, winter here is often misunderstood. Many people think the town is best avoided because everywhere shuts down at the end of the summer, and anyway, what would you do in a seaside town in winter weather?
Well, very few places actually do close for the winter. Smaller guesthouses, amusements, yes. But all the main hotels, including Magherabuoy, remain open all year. As do restaurants and pubs, and the major shops. And this is a great time to bag a bargain – because there are so many dining options in the area, competition can be pretty fierce which inevitably leads to the November price wars. Many restaurants are falling over themselves to cram their tables, to the point they are offering discounts of up to 50% on food. Sounds good – but always read the small print! There are also great deals on accommodation, and look no further on that front. We are offering fantastic prices for Bed and Breakfast between now and Christmas. And the other point we mentioned earlier, concerning the winter weather: dry days DO happen in the winter, and when they come along you just can’t beat a walk along the promenade, followed by a coffee – or a hot toddy – to warm you up again.
