Tom Laverty

This Bank Holiday Sunday evening we welcome Tom Laverty back to the Magherabuoy to perform in our Lounge.

Tom Laverty is a former teacher and primary school principal who has a Masters degree in education and law. He writes a lot of his own material and has performed up and down England and Ireland, and appeared on a TV talent show, as well as in the ‘Grand ole Opry’ in Nashville…
‘Back in the day’ he was the resident performer at Magherabuoy House on Saturday nights. Tom is an interesting and highly likeable guy!

Tom says:
“My blend of country and acoustic rock found a good niche in the market. Probably, it was part of a mid life crisis, but I returned to the academic life in 2002 when I completed a masters degree in 2008. As one of my journalist friends, the ‘Singing Farmer’ wrote, ‘Tom can now sing in court!'”

Tom won’t be in court this Sunday, but he will be in our Lounge from 9pm. Admission is absolutely free and everyone is welcome.

We still have some accommodation available, so why not make a night of it, or even a long weekend?

You can enjoy a meal in Bistro, or a speciality gin from our gin list before Tom starts his set.
